Situs resmi dan akun X (Twitter) untuk anime ini telah dibuka hari ini dengan menghadirkan teaser trailer dan visual yang menampilkan sang protagonis, Suzume Tachibana.

Susumu Maeya juga membagikan ilustrasi spesial beserta pesan:

Aktris suara Kana Ichinose (Suletta Mercury dalam Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury) resmi berperan sebagai Suzume Tachibana. Dalam cerita, Suzume adalah seorang maid di sebuah mansion di Inggris. Saat mengunjungi Jepang, mansion tersebut runtuh, sehingga ia memutuskan tinggal di Jepang sementara waktu. Suzume tertarik dengan makanan Jepang dan mencoba berbagai hidangan setiap hari.
Ichinose turut berbagi komentarnya:
“I am Kana Ichinose, and I will be playing the role of Suzume. I read the original manga for the first time during the audition, and I was healed by Suzume-chan who spends her calm and casual daily life. Her fresh reactions to food are always so cute! Anime ini disutradarai Ryosuke Senbo (Yo-Kai Watch) bersama penulis komposisi seri Natsuko Takahashi (Anne Shirley) dan Saeka Fujimoto, dengan desain karakter oleh Chiaki Abe. Musik digarap Katsutoshi Kitagawa (ROUND TABLE). Produksi animasi dikerjakan bersama oleh EMT Squared dan Magic Bus.
Manga The Food Diary of Miss Maid karya Susumu Maeya pertama kali diserialisasi di platform digital Kodansha’s Comic Days sejak Desember 2019, dan telah merilis empat volume.
Kodansha USA yang menerbitkan versi bahasa Inggris manganya, menjelaskan sinopsisnya:
